I think that this piece is trying to convey that some people aren't always what they seem. I do kind of like this piece, it's kind of neat and it looks very nice, but it's not super interesting to me.

I think the First piece of art was kinda good though how she painted it. It's pretty impressive. The Second Part about the Asia Art was beautifully done. I like the background Green and all she painted really well. The Second peace art was great because it was all colorful full of different colors and it was good

I think the meaning of this piece of art is that things that seem beautiful or come off as peaceful and beautiful can actually be quite dirty and gross underneath. I like this peice beause of the colors and how beautiful the girl is but I feel like it's kind of disturbing. It's interesting how the mouth really pops out amongst everything else in the artwork due to it's darkess and contrast in color.

I think this piece is trying to hide her "filthy mouth" with the flower eyes. It's almost like trying to hide the fact that her mouth isn't very appealing to most people, but uses the flowers to show that she has more to offer than just her mouth. (A single trait doesn't define her) I like this piece because it has lots of details and vibrant colors.

I think it means that it doesn't matter how someone appears physically to the world, but someone's character and heart can be totally different than expected. I think the meaning of Asia's piece is that purity is simply an illusion. The mouth is bloodstained, which suggests that the subject has harmed another, but the flowers in place of eyes could symbolize that the subject is blind to this reality. I think this piece symbolizes someone using innocence as an excuse for hurting people, like using religious virtue to defend homophobia or racism. I like this piece because it is symbolic and thought-provoking while also maintaining an aesthetic.

I think the meaning of the piece is that although someone may seem very beautiful and perfect, they may be a toxic person. Her mouth is the point that stands out the most and "filthy mouth" could mean that there's things said that make the girl not beautiful. In my eyes, the meaning of this piece is that even though someone or something might look beautiful and elegant on the outside, it doesn't mean that is how it is on the inside for them. Even though I think that the meaning of this piece is an important thing in life to know, I would not hang it up on my wall because it might slightly creep me out. I think the meaning of this piece is that appearances can be deceiving. The girl's flowing hair depicts her beautiful appearance while the flowers covering her eyes represent her outward innocence. However, her bloody mouth represents her ugliness and impurity that comes from within, which we are blind to as outsiders when only being able to see her beauty and innocence.

I think this piece symbolizes how some people have a false persona and pretend to be a certain way. It really captures the essence of deceit. We feel calm as we look at her beautiful golden hair and delicate flowers, but as soon as we see the mouth, we become startled. People would be fooled by her beauty and seemingly kind demeanor, when underneath, that is not her true identity. Our words are the most powerful way we show our true selves and when we open our mouths to speak, our words demonstrate our thoughts. Her mouth, grim and frightening, depicts how in reality she is not as good as she seems. She might backbite and speak ill of others as indicated by the name, "filthy mouth." I really like this piece because it has a number of different meanings and can be interpreted in many ways.

A parody on reality. The innocence of the flowers bring in a façade that people often show. It is the true first interaction, a beauty. But it is until you speak to them. Everyone has a malicious side, there is no denying it, and this portrait may reference that fact. Though a beauty on the out, within may not always be the same.
To me, this piece isn't simply about liking, but understanding and perceiving the words left unspoken. But the art is lovely.

I believe one of the many meanings of this piece is that what is on the inside can spill onto the outside, pretty or ugly. If you gossip, or have a dirty mouth, your image can be destroyed and others will look at you differently. Another idea I have is that the way the followers replace the eyes represents how we choose to view the world and the dirty mouth represents how we express ourselves in an opposite way. I believe this piece is a part of a bigger metaphor. Your eyes are a window to your soul. Our eyes usually shoe truth no matter what faces are put on. No matter the makeup no matter the smiles, our eyes show a reality. The best way to get to know someone is by looking into their eyes. One can be talking and saying words about “who” they are but be telling you lies to show you what they want you to see. This painting covers a girls eyes and dirties a mouth. In my mind, this is showing a deeper mask then a smile. A covering of the soul and a mouth telling a lie making us unable to see who she really is through the eyes. This could mean that she is hiding herself from the world by hiding behind something beautiful when she herself feels ugky. I like this piece because the detail to meaning. When looking for meaning in a piece everyone sees something differently. When looking at the lipstick, it looks smeared, as if she’s been speaking for a long time or had it on after a long day with lots of events. This shows the darkness in what she’s trying to portray to others. Lipstick should be beautiful b when it’s the only thing that one can see on the face and it gets messed up, it becomes something that you won’t want others to see.

I believe the painting may be a commentary on how some people hurt themselves to gain "beauty". The blood on the lips exemplify the pain, and the flowers the beauty. I will say that while I can appretiate the art and say that it is gorgeous, I can't say that I personally like it, It borders so close to the uncanny valley, and the one row of teeth also are off putting.

I think that the piece represents someone whose appearance does not represent how she truly feels. I think that either she has a lot going on but she acts like everything is perfect, or she acts super nice to people but really she is fake and she'll talk behind backs. I don't like the piece, as it is too scary and disturbing for my taste. However, I think it is really cool how the artist was able to place flowers and petals in her hair.

I think that this piece of art is showing that someone can be be very pretty on the outside, but is trying to cover up all of their insecurities, and self-doubt. I think that it is a beautiful piece of art, but I personally don't really like it because while many people could probably relate, I feel like it sends a very negative message.

1. I think this piece of art shows a beautiful girl, but has darkness within her. This shows that there is more beyond that which the eye can see, as she seems to be suffering with her bloody lips.

2. I don't like this piece because it seems a bit creepy to me. I like more lighthearted artwork, so this is very off for me. It looks amazing, but I just don't like this type of art.

1. I believe that the meaning behind this piece shows a contrast between things categorized as both good and bad. As you can see at the top the woman has flowers on her eyes and hair. Flowers usually symbolize loveliness, purity and passion. While on the woman's lips, it is more disturbing and unsettling. I think the top part is meant to deceive people.
2. I do like this painting because it gives you the idea that everything is not what it seems.

It shows that somebody can be beautiful, with their eyes, basically on the outside. But on the inside(their mouth) they can say and do harmful and mean things that hurt.
I like this piece, because this takes a lot of time and intricate designs, with deep meanings. The shading, is good along with the artistic drawings.

I think shes trying to convey hanahaki disease in her art. Hanahaki is a made-up art concept where the victim bleeds out flowers out of the eyes mouth or ears as a symbol of loving someone deeply and receiving no love back. I like the message of the art but the visuals are not my style as I prefer less muted colors.

1. I think that this piece of art represents the human nature to draw premature assumptions. As you look at the picture, you initially see how beautiful the woman is underneath, but when you see the mouth, your attention is drawn in. Humans like to find one fault in someone else and focuses on that fault. As you look at where her eyes are supposed to be, you see flowers with their centers in their stead. Your mind automatically draws the conclusion that those are in place of her eyes and it looks even more creepy. As you complete the picture, you end up seeing a very grotesque image that overshadows the beautiful picture underneath and it goes to show how the human mind judges based on the ugly parts and not on the beautiful ones.

2. I didn't like or dislike this piece, but I thought that it was interesting to think about its meaning beyond the surface of its grotesque nature.

I believe this piece is supposed to represent how there are very different sides to each person. We all have different personalities and aspects on the world. Some are filled with beauty and others are darker sides or thoughts but they make up who we are. I can appreciate the effort and the time but personally I would not have this in my house. I like it for it's uniqueness but it is a bit too abstract for my personal liking.
